Title
Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for the repairs of multiple crane units at the Water Treatment Plant; authorizing the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $26,000 from the Water Treatment Plant operating fund; waiving the competitive bidding provisions of TMC Chapter 187; and declaring an emergency.

The proposed repairs are necessary to address these deficiencies and maintain the safe and reliable operation of the crane units.
It is requested that the competitive bidding requirements be waived and the repairs be awarded to Crane 1. Since Crane 1 has already completed the inspection and identified the specific deficiencies, utilizing another vendor would require that vendor to conduct its own inspection before determining the necessary repairs and associated costs. This would result in duplication of inspection services, additional costs, and delays in completing the required repairs.
