SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This ordinance authorizes expending up to $1,250,000 to perform the final phase of improvements at Levis Square. The scope of work includes utility upgrades and relocations, installation of decorative pavers, construction of landscape beds and mounding, and an entrance sign as well other improvements. Funds for this project were allocated in the approved 2023 Capital Improvement fund budget and proposed 2023 mid-year budget amendment.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. The expenditure of an amount not to exceed $1,250,000 is authorized from the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-40100-8CP2328LEVISS for the final phase of improvements at Levis Square Park.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purposes specified in Section 1, upon terms and conditions as acceptable to the Director of Law and the Director of Parks and Youth Services.

SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above Account Code in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed $1,250,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
