SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Fire requests to accept a 232 (1) gallon container donation of alcohol-based hand sanitizer from The Toledo Correctional Institution, valued at $5,381.24. The donation will assist in combating the spread of harmful illness and disease-causing pathogens and represents a direct member and service community benefit that will be deployed immediately to various response apparatuses and stations.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to accept a $5,381.24 donation of alcohol-based hand sanitizer from the Toledo Correctional Institute for TFRD use.
SECTION 2. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the timely approval expedites sanitizer deployment purposed to combat the spread of harmful illness and disease-causing pathogens and preserve public & member welfare.
