Summary
SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
WHEREAS, Whitmer High School students Zack Aubry and Anthony Mitchell displayed exceptional courage and presence of mind when they responded to a serious automobile accident in west Toledo, Ohio; and
WHEREAS, after witnessing the crash, they acted without hesitation, putting their own safety at risk to assist a driver trapped inside a severely damaged vehicle, ultimately helping to save the individual’s life; and
WHEREAS, they have been publicly commended their heroic efforts, recognizing their selfless actions and readiness to respond during a critical and dangerous situation; and
WHEREAS, through their bravery, swift judgment, and genuine concern for another person’s well-being, these young men exemplified outstanding character, leadership, and commitment to their community.
NOW THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That Toledo City Council proudly recognizes and applauds Zack Aubry and Anthony Mitchell for their courageous life-saving actions and unwavering concern for their fellow citizens.
SECTION 2. That sincere appreciation is extended for their exemplary demonstration of compassion, bravery, and service to others, which reflects great credit upon themselves, their school, and the community.
