SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Toledo Police Department has requested and received $22,850.21 in Ohio Drug Law Enforcement Fund grant funds from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services to conduct drug investigations. There is a local match of $7,631.50 required for this grant, which will be for personnel overtime. The grant funds will increase the department's ability to conduct drug enforcement investigations.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a grant agreement and accept and deposit the amount of $22,850.21 from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services from the Ohio Drug Law Enforcement Fund into the Operation Grants Fund.

SECTION 2. That the appropriation of $22,850.21 is authorized from the unappropriated grant proceeds of the Operation Grants Fund to Account Code 2016-52000-3G00085STDSTD and the expenditure of same is authorized to conduct drug investigations.

SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw a warrant or warrants against the above mentioned Account Code in an amount not to exceed $22,850.21 in payment of the obligations authorized above by the terms of the grant upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
