SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This ordinance authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement for the purchase, installation and configuration of critical network appliances and software components.
The hardware/software will be provided by Fortinet. New Era, an authorized Fortinet partner and previously bid/contracted network services provider will perform the installation and configuration.
The project scope includes:
Planning
( Review the current firewall configuration
( Review Unified Threat Management (UTM) Services with location contacts
Pre-configuration
( Update IOS on (5) Firewalls
( Pre-configure firewalls based on ASA configuration
Firewall Deployments
( Deploy (5) Firewalls
( Configure (5) Firewalls for VPN connectivity
( Test LAN/WAN, Internet, VPN, Site to Site, Server and PC Access
UTM Services Deployment
( Configure UTM Services
( Configure IPS/IDS, AV, and Content Filtering
( Test and monitor UTM services
Standby Support
( Next business day standby support
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with New Era Technology for the planning, purchase, configuration and deployment of critical network & security hardware/software upgrades at various City of Toledo fire stations, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Law and the Director of Information Technology.
