SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance authorizes expending an amount not to exceed $160,000 for law enforcement employee early identification and intervention software. The purpose of this software is to assist the Police Department with recognizing, rewarding and retaining officers demonstrating high work standards, and identifying officers exhibiting problematic behavior and/or areas in need of improvement.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That, subject to appropriation, the total amount not to exceed $160,000 is authorized over a three-year period for expenditure from the General Fund Account Code 1001-52000-3381002STDSTD for law enforcement employee early identification and intervention software.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and enter into a contract for a term of up to three years for the purposes specified in Section 1, upon terms and conditions as approved by the Director of Law and the Director of Police.

SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw their warrant or warrants against the Account Code in Section 1 in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed $160,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage.
