SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo has been awarded funding and is invited to enter into a grant agreement with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for a Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) Green Infrastructure grant in the amount of $500,000 to be used for the Delaware Creek Restoration Project Phase II. This ordinance authorizes the mayor to accept, deposit, appropriate and expend up to $500,000 in grant proceeds from the EPA.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to enter into a grant agreement with the EPA for Delaware Creek Restoration Project Phase II upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Public Utilities and the Director of Law.
SECTION 2. That the mayor is authorized to accept and deposit grant proceeds from the EPA in an amount not to exceed $500,000 into the Operation Grants Fund, Account Code 2016-38000-6G00312STDSTD, for the purpose of completing work necessary to administer the grant.
