SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance authorizes the Mayor to accept upgraded body worn cameras with minimal cost for the compatible docking stations and all related equipment for Toledo Police. Midwest Public Safety is the only authorized seller of Getac cameras in the Toledo area.

Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to accept upgraded body worn cameras with minimal cost for the compatible docking stations for Toledo Police with Midwest Public Safety.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement for body worn camera docking stations for Toledo Police with Midwest Public Safety, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Public Safety and the Director of Law.

SECTION 3. That an amount not to exceed $62,000 is authorized for expenditure from the General Fund Account Code 1001-52000-3381002STDSTD for the purchase of the docking stations and all related equipment.

SECTION 4. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw a warrant or warrants against the above referenced Account Code in payment of the obligation authorized in Section 1 in an amount not to exceed $62,000, upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.

SECTION 5. That this Council finds and determines it is in the best interest of the City to waive the competitive bidding requirements of TMC Chapter 187 for the reason that Midwest Public Safety is the only authorized seller of Getac cameras in the Tol...
