SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
SoundThinking, Inc. is a leading public safety technology company that delivers AI-driven and data-driven solutions for law enforcement with ShotSpotter as part of its platform. ShotSpotter is the leading acoustic gunshot detection system. ShotSpotter uses an array of acoustic sensors that reliably detect and accurately locate gunshots. This ordinance authorizes the Mayor to renew the agreement with SoundThinking, Inc. for ShotSpotter subscription services for Phases I, II, and III. The renewal includes 12 months for Phase I ($73,500.00), 12 months for Phase II ($73,500.00), and 11 months for Phase III ($66,855.00). This agreement will be in effect until June 2026.

Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to renew the SoundThinking, Inc. agreement for ShotSpotter subscription services for Phases I, II, and III, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Police and the Director of Law.

SECTION 2. That the appropriation of $213,855 is authorized from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account Code 1001-52000-3381002STDSTD and the expenditure of same is authorized for the renewal including 12 months for Phase I ($73,500.00), 12 months for Phase II ($73,500.00), and 11 months for Phase III ($66,855.00) for ShotSpotter subscription services through SoundThinking effective until June 2026.
