SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Ordinance 609-23 authorized the expenditure of $104,360 from the Capital Improvement Fund for the purchase and installations of audio-visual upgrades for City Council Chambers area. Due to supply chain issues, certain components have been retired. Comparable replacement components have increased in cost by $5,640. This Ordinance authorizes the expenditure of additional funds to complete the upgrades. Funds were included for this project in the approved 2023 Capital Improvement Plan budget.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the expenditure of $5,640 is authorized from the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-10100-8CP2336CONCHA for the purchase and installation of audio visual upgrades to City Council Chambers.
SECTION 2. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above referenced Account Code in payment of the obligation authorized above in an amount not to exceed $5,640 upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason that the ordinance must be immediately effective in order to purchase and installation of audio visual upgrades to City Council Chambers.
