REFERRAL:

How many companies does the tow lot contract with?

Will the police need to cancel any current contracts to go with this company?

Is the city in contractual agreement with Pamela Rose Auction? If so, when does that expire?

What percentage of the fees does the city pay to Pamela Rose?

RESPONSE:

The Toledo Police Department Impound Lot has contracts for vehicle salvage, garbage disposal services, security system services, locksmith services, certified mail with a postal service, snow removal, grass cutting, Autura software for dispatching tows, and the tow companies themselves.

VMS will administer any contract the City requires VMS to maintain and administer. In situations where VMS is given flexibility, VMS works regularly with existing local and regional contractors and often prefers to continue those relationships. The current Toledo scrap company is a company VMS already works with nationally and across multiple VMS locations. VMS would anticipate continuing that relationship.

According to the Purchasing Department, Law Department, and Facility and Fleet Operations, the City of Toledo does not have a contractual agreement with Pamela Rose Auction Company.

Pamela Rose Auction Company is paid 5% of the sales.
