Body

Referral Response:

TO: Council Member Komives

THROUGH: Abby Arnold, Deputy Mayor

FROM: Joe Fausnaugh, Director Parks and Youth Services

Funding currently awarded at Schneider Park:

ARPA- Parks Infrastructure - $1,340,000

HUD - Senator Brown earmark - $1,381,000

OEPA- Scrap Tire Grant- $300,000

GLRI- Bio-swale- $600,000

Land Bank- Brownfield Grant- $61,000

ARPA- Sidewalks and paths- $122,195.45

CIP- fencing and restroom- $130,432

DIP- concrete base for ADA soccer fields- $100,000

Total = $4,034,627.45

This is a sizable investment but I think it is important to highlight that all of this funding other than $230,432, is money that we were able to bring back to Toledo from outside of our general budget.

In 2024 we will continue work at the site:

$130,000 for parking light lighting

$70,000 for ADA soccer field equipment kit.

We have secured donations totaling $32,000 to assist with the purchase and building of the kit.  Matt Cherry is also assisting to organize a community build to help defray costs.
