SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The roof of the Streets, Bridges & Harbor building, located at 1189 W. Central Avenue, needs replacement. The roof replacement will occur in three phases. This Ordinance authorizes the expenditure of the remaining budget in the Facilities Improvement account of the Capital Improvement Fund in order to start the roof project.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That an amount not to exceed $238,000 is authorized for expenditure from the Capital Improvement Program Fund Account Code 5040-26100-8CP2142FACILI for the Streets, Bridges & Harbor facility roof replacement at 1189 W. Central Ave.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for labor, materials, and professional services necessary for the purposes specified in Section 1.

SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the Account Code in Section 1 in payment of the above authorized obligations upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason that to delay this repair may result in additional repair costs.
