SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Instrumentation indicates that Pump and Motor #3 at the Heatherdowns Pump Station requires inspection and refurbishment on a planned basis before the pumping unit fails and becomes non-operable. Funding will support several contracts, including removal and installation of the pumping unit, inspection and refurbishment of the pump and inspection and refurbishment of the motor.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the appropriation of $100,000 is authorized from the unappropriated balance of the Water Replacement Fund to Account Code 6063-32000-4UC1126STDSTD and the expenditure of the same is authorized for the Heatherdowns Pump Repair Project.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contract(s) for the Heatherdowns Pump Repair Project upon such terms and conditions as shall be approved by the Director of Public Utilities and the Director of Law.
SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to issue their warrant or warrants against the Account Code listed in Section 1 in an amount not to exceed $100,000 in payment of the above-authorized obligations upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 4. That the disappropriation of any remaining budget to fund balance at project closeout is authorized.
SECTION 5. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public p...
