SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance authorizes the Mayor accept bids and enter into an agreement with U Pull R Parts Co. III Inc. for the removal of salvage vehicles from the Toledo Police Impound Lot. A competitive bid solicitation was posted on PlanetBids and U Pull R Parts submitted the highest value bid.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and enter into an agreement for one (1) year, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms for the removal of salvage vehicles at the Toledo Police Impound Lot, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Police and the Director of Law.
SECTION 2. That the amount of $595.00 per salvage vehicle is authorized for deposit into the Municipal Tow Lot Fund Account Code 607T-52000-3391001STDSTD.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property, and for the further reason that the ordinance must be immediately effective in order to continue the efficient operation of the impound lot.
