Body

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

On July 15, 2025, City Council adopted Resolution 297-25 requesting the Toledo Plan Commission conduct a study of zoning district classifications in the historic Vistula neighborhood.  On January 15, 2026, the Toledo Plan Commission recommended approval of the various zone changes reflected in the report of this study (Exhibit A, M-9-25).  On February 18, 2026, the Toledo City Council, Zoning and Planning Committee, recommended approval of the listed zone changes reflected below.

 

Summary

NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 27.  The Secretary of the Toledo City Plan Commission is hereby authorized and directed to make said changes to the zoning maps.

 

SECTION 28.  That this Ordinance hereby is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and that this Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to provide accurate and complete standards for use by property owners.
