SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo Fire and Rescue Department has received a grant from The Hartford not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00). This grant will be used specifically for Fire Safety Educational efforts.
The fiscal impact of this Ordinance is as follows:

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to accept a grant from The Hartford in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00 for Fire Safety Educational efforts.
SECTION 2. That the said funds shall be deposited in Account Code 2016-53000-3G02218STDSTD and authorizing an increase in the revenue estimate of the Operating Grants Fund of $5,000.00.
SECTION 3. That the sum of $5,000.00 is appropriated from the unappropriated grant proceeds of the Operational Grants Fund to Accounting Code 2016-53000-3G02218STDSTD and further authorizing the expenditure, in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00.
SECTION 4. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw her warrant or warrants against Accounting Code 2016-53000-3G02218STDSTD in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 5. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it is necessary for the immediate benefit of Toledo Fire and Rescue Fire Safety Educational efforts.
