SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Beautification of streetscapes brings both enjoyment and economic benefit to the City of Toledo. To facilitate this continued work, flowers must be purchased for installation.

Summary
NOW THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the amount of $14,988 is authorized for expenditure from the General Fund Account Code 1001-60500-7000301STDSTD for the purchase of flowers for City of Toledo streetscapes.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to accept the bids and award contracts for the purposes specified in Section 1, upon such terms and conditions as acceptable to the Director of Public Service and the Director of Law.
SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the Account Code in Section 1, in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed $14,988 and upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance, being an emergency measure, shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and so that this important beautification work can continue to the benefit of the community.
