Title

Authorizing the expenditure of $22,900 from the Sanitary Sewer Operating Fund to pay the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) for Water Reclamation’s 2026 membership dues; and declaring an emergency.

Body

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

NACWA is a nationally-recognized leader in environmental policy and a sought-after technical resource on water quality and ecosystem protection issues. Viewed as a key stakeholder in both the legislative and regulatory arenas, NACWA has built credible, collaborative relationships with members of Congress, Presidential administrations and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This Ordinance authorizes payment of Water Reclamation’s 2026 membership dues for the dues year beginning 10/1/2025. Adequate funds are provided in the Water Reclamation’s 2025 Sanitary Sewer Operating Budget for this purpose.
