SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Ordinance 201-18 authorized the Capital Improvement Project budget and a line item for Facility Improvements specifically for the lobby of the Division of Building Inspection offices on the 16th floor of One Government Center.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the expenditure of $65,000 is authorized from the Capital Improvement Fund, Account Code 5040-26100- 8CP1822FACILI, for facility improvements to the Division of Building Inspection offices.
SECTION 2. That the mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purposes identified in Section 1.
SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the account code listed in Section 1 in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed $65,000 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that this expenditure is needed for Building Inspection operations.
