SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Ord. 597-23 passed by Council on November 8, 2023, authorized the Mayor to enter into a software license and maintenance agreement with Insight Public Sector (IPS) for the renewal of 36 Autodesk licenses for a period of 36 months. During the process of awarding the contract to IPS, the state term contract referenced in Ord. 597-23 expired. IPS has agreed to offer the same terms and pricing as the original contract through their cooperative purchasing agreement through Equalis Group. This agreement continues to allow the Department of Transportation to acquire this software and maintenance at the lowest possible cost to the city.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That SECTION 1 of Ord. 597-23 which reads as follows:
That the mayor is authorized to enter into software license and maintenance agreement utilizing State of Ohio cooperative purchasing with Insight Public Sector for thirty-six (36) seats of Autodesk, for a period of 36 months upon such terms and conditions as the mayor may deem requisite and proper, subject to approval by the Department of Law and the Director of the Department of Transportation.
is repealed.
SECTION 2. That a new SECTON 1 of Ord. 597-23 is enacted to read:
That the Mayor is authorized to enter into software license and maintenance agreement utilizing cooperative purchasing with Insight Public Sector for thirty-six (36) seats of Autodesk, for a period of 36 months upon such terms and conditions as the mayor may deem requisite and proper, subject to approval by the Department of Law and the Director of the Department of Transportation.
SECTION 3. That except as amended herein all other provisions of Ord. 597-23 remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property, and for the further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to avoid interruption of necessary software use and maintenance.
