SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

A District Improvement Program application for $42,430.10 has been approved by the District Improvement Program coordinating committee to renovate the existing football field at Westwood Park in City Council District #5. The Parks and Recreation Division has received multiple citizen requests to perform this work.

 

Summary

NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

SECTION 1. That a sum of $42,430.10 is authorized for expenditure from Account Code 5040-10100-8CP2318DNGPRO from the District Improvement Program to renovate the existing football field at Westwood Park.

 

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the necessary contracts from the District Improvement Program for the stated purposes, upon such terms and conditions as shall be approved by the Director of the Department of Economic Development, the Director of Parks & Youth Services, and the Director of Law.

 

SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above account code in payment of the above authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed that authorized in Section 1 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.

 

SECTION 4.  That this Ordinance, being an emergency measure, shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property and for the further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to begin timely planning and execution of the project.
