SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

Water Reclamation will be utilizing the contract with Samsara, Inc., which has been selected by the City of Toledo as the fleet management provider of software and monitoring systems as authorized by Ordinance 107-22. This legislation authorizes the expenditure of funds for the first year’s costs for software & services for the Water Reclamation Division.

 

Summary

NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

SECTION 1. That the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $12,000 is authorized for the purpose of providing fleet telematics service and support pursuant to the city’s existing contract with Samsara, Inc., from the Sewer Operating Fund Account Code 6070-36000-4000508STDSTD.

 

SECTION 2. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw their warrant or warrants against the above Account Code in payment of the above-authorized obligations in an amount not to exceed $12,000 upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.

 

SECTION 3.   That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for further reason that the Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to allow the effective monitoring of the city’s fleet.
