SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

Ordinance 332-17, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 1, authorized receipt, deposit, appropriation and expenditure of grant funds from the State of Ohio, Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.  The Grantor has requested that the funds be deposited to two different accounts than set forth in the original authorizing legislation  This legislation seeks to amend the original ordinance by allowing deposit, appropriation and expenditure from 2016-10800-3G00061STDSTD, as well as 2016-10800-3G00060STDSTD  to comply with a request of the granting authority.

 

Summary

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

                     SECTION 1.  That Ordinance 332-17, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 1, is amended to authorize deposit and appropriation of grant funds described in Ordinance 332-17 into Account Codes 2016-10800-3G00061STDSTD and 2016-10800-3G00060STDSTD. 

 

                     SECTION 2.  That Ordinance 332-17, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 1, is amended to authorize the Finance Director is authorized to draw his warrant or warrants against Account Codes 2016-10800-3G00061STDSTD and 2016-10800-3G00060STDSTD in an amount equal to the amount awarded, deposited and appropriated as set forth in Section 1 in payment of the obligations authorized in Ordinance 332-17 presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers. 

 

                     SECTION 3.  That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage.  The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason that the Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to accept the grant funds and continue the Misdemeanant High Risk Offender Program in this grant period.
