SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo has received an Organized Crime Investigations Commission Task Force grant from the Office of Ohio Attorney General in the amount of $100,000. This grant will pay for officer overtime and related workers compensation costs. There is no local match required for this grant.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with the Office of Ohio Attorney General and to accept and deposit an Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission Task Force grant of $100,000 into the Operation Grants Fund Account Code 2016-52000-3G00163STDSTD.
SECTION 2. That the appropriation of $100,000 is authorized from the unappropriated grant proceeds of the Operation Grants Fund to Account Code 2016-52000-3G00163STDSTD; and the expenditure of same is authorized for Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission Task Force investigations.
SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw his warrant or warrants against the above mentioned Account Code in an amount not to exceed $100,000 in payment of the above obligations as authorized by the terms of the grant upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property, and to operate and continue the program through the grant period.
