SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This ordinance authorizes the expenditure of $10,000 to support the 2019/2020 Lucas County Community Health Assessment. Health Lucas County, a coalition of community health improvement organizations, is leading this effort, which will include a base assessment of the county, purposeful sampling, a Community Health Improvement Plan and the creation and printing of an infographic report. A summary of other pledged and confirmed sponsors is attached, as well as additional information regarding the funding request.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That an expenditure in the amount of $10,000 is authorized from the General Fund, Account Code 1001-16100-5632005STDSTD, for the purpose of funding in part the 2019/2020 Lucas County Community Health Assessment.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a 2019/2020 Lucas County Community Health Assessment funding agreement for the purpose identified in Section 1.
SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw his warrant or warrants against the above referenced Account Code in an amount not to exceed $10,000 in payment of the obligations authorized above upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that this ordinance must be immediately effective in order to timely provide support for the 2019/2020 Lucas County Community Health Assessment.
