SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The City of Toledo established the District Improvement Program (DIP) in 2018 through the passage of Ordinance 362-18. Based on eight years of administering the program, the City has identified opportunities to improve clarity, accessibility, and effectiveness.
Ord. 276-26 established district account codes within the Capital Improvement Fund and allowed for the reappropriation of current capital funds in order to more effectively monitor budgets and track projects by Council District.
This amendment is changing the Account Codes in Section 2 of Ord. 276-26.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Ord. 276-26 which reads as follows:
SECTION 2. That the reappropriation of $600,000 associated with the projects and account codes listed below is authorized:

SECTION 2. That a new Section 2 of Ord. 276-26 is enacted to read:

SECTION 3. That except as amended herein all other provisions of Ord. 276-26 remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that the Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to increase transparency and accounting of the District Improvement Program.
