SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This PC replacement program will include replacing aging end-user computing devices. The PC replacements will prioritize devices running on retired operating systems and follow with those five years and older.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is authorized to accepts bids and award contracts, or utilize cooperative purchasing agreements for the purchase of replacement of Windows 10 computers and related computer accessories upon such terms and conditions as deemed appropriate by the Director of ICT and the Director of Law.
SECTION 2. That an amount not to exceed $250,000 is authorized for expenditure from the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-17500-8CP2513CTYCOM for the purposes authorized in Section 1.
SECTION 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to issue warrant or warrants against the Account Code identified in Sections 2 in payment of the obligations upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in full force immediately upon its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that the immediate replacing of computers is necessary in order to maintain safety standards, security, and operational efficiency.
