SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

This ordinance authorizes the expenditure of $104,360 from the Capital Improvement Fund for AV upgrades in Council Chambers.  Westfield Technologies installed the original equipment in 2019 and has supported us along the way.  This expenditure will provide equipment and installation for video distribution and for Tricaster and control surface.  Funds are available in the CIP Fund from the passage of the 2023 CIP Plan.

 

Summary

NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

                     SECTION 1. That the amount of $104,360 is authorized for expenditure from the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-10100-8CP2336CONCHA for an agreement with Westfield Technologies for AV upgrades in Council Chambers; waiving the competitive bidding requirements of TMC Ch. 187.

 

                     SECTION 2. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above referenced Account Codes in payment of the obligation authorized in an amount of $104,360 upon presentation of proper voucher or vouchers.

 

                     SECTION 3.  That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason that the ordinance must be immediately effective in order to improve the AV system in Council Chambers.
