SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Judges’ Division of the Toledo Municipal Court has experienced temporary workforce vacancies during 2026 creating $400,000 worth of labor savings. The Judges’ Division is seeking this mid-year budget adjustment to accelerate execution of operation critical projects.

NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason that the Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to allow for the identified needs of the Judges’ Division to be met while using the public funds in the most efficient manner.
