SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Association of Ohio Drinking Water Agencies, Inc. (AODWA) is an Association whose fundamental purpose is to ensure safe and clean drinking water for Ohioans. This ordinance authorizes payment of the membership dues for 2025 for the Department of Public Utilities.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the expenditure of $13,148 is authorized from the Water Operating Fund Account Code 6060-34000-4000523STDSTD for payment of the City of Toledo Department of Public Utilities 2025 membership dues to the Association of Ohio Drinking Water Agencies.
SECTION 2. That the Finance Director is authorized to issue their warrant or warrants against the Account Code identified in Section 1 in an amount not to exceed $13,148 in payment of the obligations incurred pursuant to the membership authorized in Section 1 upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that expenditure is needed for prompt payment of DPU’s 2025 dues to the Association of Ohio Drinking Water Agencies, Inc.
