This ordinance updates Toledo Municipal code to allow revenue to be deposited into the new Toledo Community Improvement Corporation Fund.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That Toledo Municipal Code, Chapter 151.05, which reads as follows:
151.05. Acceptance of contributions and grants.
The Toledo Community Improvement Corporation is authorized to accept contributions and donations or grants for the express purpose of advancing industrial, commercial, distribution and research development in the City. Any contributions or grants so received are to be deposited in the Economic Development Trust Fund, Account Code 2090-16400-5T16500STDSTD. Disbursement shall be made from such Trust Fund by the Director of Finance upon presentation of proper vouchers from the Toledo Community Improvement Corporation and the City's director of economic and business development.
Is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. That a new Toledo Municipal Code, Chapter 151.05 shall read as follows:
151.05. Acceptance of contributions and grants.
The Toledo Community Improvement Corporation is authorized to accept revenues, including contributions and donations or grants for the express purpose of advancing industrial, commercial, distribution and research development in the City. Any revenues so received are to be deposited in the Toledo Community Improvement Corporation Fund Account Code 2050-16400-5881001STDSTD. Disbursement shall be made from such Fund by the Director of Finance upon presentation of proper vouchers from the Toledo Community Improvement Corporation and the City's director of economic and business development.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance hereby is decaled to be an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and property and for the further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to provide for the orderly implementation of the Toledo Community Improvement Corporation.
