Title

Appropriating an amount not to exceed $250,000 from the Information and Communications Technology Fund as supplemental funding for the purposes authorized by Ord. 124-24; authorizing the annual expenditure of $250,000 from the Information and Communications Technology Fund for said purposes; and declaring an emergency.

Body

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

The City relies on external service providers to perform Information Technology services. This can include all elements of infrastructure and related hardware and software subscriptions and support. Ordinance 124-24 authorized $451,000 annually for one year with the ability to renew for an additional two years for this purpose. Additional funding is necessary due to the need to add a 24/7 monitoring component related to the interconnection of system elements and to cover transition costs for certain services.  This Ordinance authorizes an annual amount not to exceed $250,000 to supplement the existing funding for the purposes authorized in Ord. 124-24.
