Body

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

The City of Toledo realizes that access at bus stops from existing sidewalk to the bus is limited at some locations due to grass strips between the sidewalk and curb. This is even more challenging for people with disabilities. The City of Toledo and the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) are proposing installing access walk from the existing sidewalk to the curb based on rider data supplied by TARTA.

Summary

NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1.  That the Mayor is authorized to enter into and execute an agreement with Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority for the TARTA LITE access walk program upon such terms and conditions as approved by the Director of Transportation and the Director of Law.
