SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
There has been a tremendous amount of structural and mechanical work completed at Toledo Municipal Court. In working with the Clerk of Courts, some areas were identified as needing some functional and cosmetic enhancements and improvements. This funding will be used to complete carpet replacement in several areas and add fixture replacements throughout the building. Funds are available for expenditure from the approved Capital Improvement Fund.
Summary
NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That an amount not to exceed $100,000 is authorized for expenditure from the Capital Improvement Fund, Account Code 5040-26100-8CB2507MUNOFF for continued building improvements at the Toledo Municipal Courthouse.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to amend the design-build agreement with Brewer Garrett for the purposes specified in Section 1, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Public Service and the Director of Law.
SECTION 3. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw their warrant or warrants against the Account Code in Section 1 in payment of the above authorized obligations upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers in an amount not to exceed $100,000.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for further reason that the Ordinance must be immediately effective in order to allow the work to continue to Toledo Municipal Courthouse.
