SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This ordinance authorizes the appropriation and expenditure of an amount not to exceed $105,917 from the Sewer Replacement Fund for the TWI Program to pay Black & Veatch for additional engineering services for project modifications related to Contract 2 of the TWI Program in order to meet the requirements for the City of Toledo’s Consent Decree with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA).

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the appropriation in an amount not to exceed $105,917 is authorized from the unappropriated balance of the Sewer Replacement Fund into Account Code 673L-36000-4XL0914STDSTD and the expenditure of same is authorized to pay for additional engineering services related to the TWI Program.
SECTION 2. That the Director of Finance is authorized to issue her warrant or warrants against the above account code in an amount not to exceed $105,917 in payment of obligations herein, upon the presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers therefor.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately effective for additional engineering services related to the TWI Program to meet the requirements of the City’s Consent Decree with the USEPA.
