Title

Amending Ord. 178-26 which authorized the expenditure of $77,440 from the Capital Improvement Fund District Improvement Program to change the Account Code for the purchase and installation of speed feedback signage in District 1; authorizing the Mayor to execute the necessary contract; and declaring an emergency.

SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:

A District Improvement Program application was submitted to purchase and install speed feedback signage at 9 locations in District 1.

 

The District Improvement Review Committee convened on April 20, 2026, and recommended approval of this application in an amount of $77,440.

 

This amendment is changing the Account Code to allow for implementation of the project

Summary

NOW THEREFORE Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

 

 SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ord. 178-26 which reads as follows:
That an amount not to exceed $77,440 is authorized for expenditure from the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-10100-8CP2318DNGPRO from the District Improvement Program for the purchase and installation of speed feedback signage in District 1.

is hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. That a new Section 1 of Ord. 178-26 is enacted to read:

That an amount not to exceed $77,440 is authorized for expenditure from the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 5040-10100-8CP2428DNGPRO from the District Improvement Program for the purchase and installation of speed feedback signage in District 1.

SECTION 3. That except as amended herein all other provisions of Ord. 178-26 remain in full force and effect.

 

SECTION 4. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property and for the further reason that this Ordinance must be immediately effective to improve safety in a timely manner.

 

Vote on emergency clause:  yeas 11 nays 0.
