SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Ord. 40-20 accepts $75,000 from the Woodlawn Cemetery Historical Association, Inc. for the sale of 11.89 acres of Willys Park to the Cemetery for their $3.8 million waterbodies restoration project. This ordinance would transfer the $75,000 from the General Fund to the Capital Improvement Fund for improvements within Willys Park.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That an amount not to exceed $75,000 is appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund and the operating transfer of same is authorized to the Capital Improvement Fund.
SECTION 2. That an amount not to exceed $75,000 is authorized for appropriation from the Capital Improvement Fund for improvements at Willys Park.
SECTION 3. That an amount not to exceed $75,000 is authorized for expenditure from the Capital Improvement Fund for improvements at Willys Park.
SECTION 4. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for improvements at Willys Park upon such terms and conditions shall be approved by the Director of the Department of Public Service and the Director of Law.
SECTION 5. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw his warrant or warrants against the Capital Improvement Fund for improvements at Willys Park in payment of the obligations authorized above upon presentation of the proper voucher or vouchers.
SECTION 6. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that the same is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for further reason that the ordinance must be immediately effective in order to allow for improvements at Willys Park.
