Does Flock use AI or AI Agents?
Flock uses AI and machine learning to analyze vehicle images, recognize license plates and vehicle characteristics, and assign confidence scores to those reads. It is not a facial-recognition system or an autonomous AI agent.
Does Flock apply the new AI Policy?
The AI Policy is intended to cover all technology used by all City departments. Although we don’t anticipate needing exceptions for Flock, the policy does allow for exceptions following a review by IT, Law, and the Mayor’s Office.
