FPB currently has 7 inspectors; however, Inspector Krisjanis has been on extended FMLA leave and is not expected to return. Due to retirements, illness, and the untimely passing of Inspector Riley, FPB has operated with only 6 inspectors for most of the year. 1 of the 7 inspectors was just recently hired and is still in training. Our authorized strength for is 9 inspectors. For comparison, we had 8 inspectors during both 2023 and 2024.
While the overall number of inspections in 2025 does not reflect a dramatic increase from 2024, the number of inspections completed per inspector has risen significantly, given the reduced staffing levels.
The fee schedule has also been attached. It appears the fees have not been adjusted since April of 2013.
