Subject:                                          Referral #074-24, dated April 17, 2024

REFERRAL:

How long is the FLOK camera data retained?

With whom does the department/the city share this data?

How are the cameras distributed throughout the city?

How long does non-hit license plate capture data retained?

RESPONSE:

The data from FLOCK is stored for a rolling thirty days and then hard deleted (e.g. images captured on 4/24/24 would be hard deleted thirty days from now).

The Toledo Police Department only shares the license plate data with other certified law enforcement agencies.

The camera locations were chosen based on vehicle traffic volume and crime.

All data is retained for thirty days from the date it was captured.
