Celebrating and thanking Tim Brown for his seven years as the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG) president.

Summary
WHEREAS, Tim Brown currently serves as the fifth president of the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG); and

WHEREAS, prior to presidency at TMACOG, Tim served in the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 3rd District from 2013 to 2016; during his tenure, he chaired the Government Accountability and Oversight Committee, and served on the Financial Institutions, Housing and Urban Development Committee, and the Health and Aging Committee; and

WHEREAS, Tim, first being appointed in 1996 and then re-elected for four more terms, served as a Wood County Commissioner; for 2012, he was the vice president of the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO), while also serving on a number of committees; and is a past president of the Northwest Ohio Commissioners and Engineers Association; and

WHEREAS, while serving at TMACOG, Tim led a continued focus on improving Lake Erie and the health of our watershed, while also remaining focused on the enhancement of public transportation and freight movement; and

WHEREAS, serving 7 years at TMACOG, Tim continued the legacies of former leaders and members, adding his own accomplishments, from Wood County and Toledo DiSalle Bridge improvements, and equalizing the regional water rates coming from Toledo, to the millions being spent toward the connectivity of Canada through Toledo to Columbus; and

WHEREAS, retiring from TMACOG in July of 2023, Tim stated, "Finishing my career at TMACOG, an organization that leaves politics at the door, where members and staff focus on collectively working to improve the region we share, is among the most important and rewarding honors of my years in public service;" NOW, THEREFORE,
