SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Department of Fire and Rescue has received a grant of $10,000 from the Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., for fire safety educational and operational efforts. Accordingly, messages of Fire Prevention and the Benefits of Smoke Detectors can reach and bolster safety awareness at all community levels.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to accept and deposit a grant from Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc in an amount not to exceed $10,000 into the Operation Grants Fund Account Code 2016-53000-3G02220STDSTD for Fire Safety Educational and Operational efforts.

SECTION 2. That $10,000 is appropriated from the unappropriated grant proceeds of the Operational Grants Fund to Account Code 2016-53000-3G02220STDSTD and further authorizing the expenditure of the same for Fire Safety Educational and Operational efforts.

SECTION 3. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and enter into contracts awarded by way of competitive bidding practices, cooperative, or collaborative procurement programs for the purpose authorized in Section 2, under such terms and conditions as may be acceptable to the Director of Fire, Director of Law, and the Mayor.

SECTION 4. That the Director of Finance is authorized to draw warrant or warrants against the above Account Code in an amount not to exceed $10,000 in payment of the above authorized obligations upon ...
