SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Water Reclamation Plant (Plant) is in the process of designing improvements to its Chemical Building. The additional appropriated funds will allow the Plant to complete the design of the project at the Bay View Pump Station.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the appropriation $315,000 is authorized from the Sewer Replacement Fund to Account Code 6073-36000-4UC3823STDSTD and the expenditure of same is authorized for professional and engineering services to facilitate the I-66 Chemical Building Improvements project at the Water Reclamation Plant.

SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized enter into an amended professional and engineering services agreement with Poggemeyer Design Group for the purpose authorized in Section 1, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Law and the Director of Public Utilities.

SECTION 3. That this Council find and determines it is in the best interest of the city to waive the competitive procurement provisions of TMC 187 for the reason that Poggemeyer Design Group was originally selected through a competitive procurement process and best situated to provide a cost-effective solution to city considering the required change in project scope.

SECTION 4. That the Finance Director is authorized to issue warrant or warrants against the account code identified in Section 1 in an amount not to exceed $315,000 ...
