SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Division of Road and Bridge Maintenance has successfully applied for and received funding assistance from OPWC and ODOT for the construction of the Secor Road Bridge over the Ottawa River as authorized by Ordinance 162-22. Part of the construction cost includes the replacement of a gas line owned by Columbia Gas of Ohio. Columbia Gas of Ohio has agreed to pay for the cost associated with the replacement of this gas line throughout the construction of the new bridge.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into and execute an agreement with and accept financial assistance from Columbia Gas of Ohio for the construction of the Secor Road Bridge over Ottawa River upon such terms and conditions as approved by the Director of Transportation and the Director of Law.
SECTION 2. That the mayor is authorized to accept and deposit an amount not to exceed $104,723 from Columbia Gas of Ohio into the Capital Improvement Fund Account Code 540G-23100-8GA7812STDSTD for the construction of the Secor Bridge over the Ottawa River.
SECTION 3. That an amount not to exceed $104,723 is appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the Capital Improvement Fund to Account Code 540G-23100-8GA7812STDSTD; and that this amount is authorized for expenditure for the purposes set forth herein.
