SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Toledo Police Department has requested and received $173,400.00 in Ohio Emergency Management Agency First Responder Wellness, Recruitment, Retention & Resiliency grant funds. The grant funds will give officers an opportunity to access services specific to their needs and not readily available through the traditional EAP. There is no match required for this grant.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into a grant agreement with the Ohio Emergency Management Agency and to accept and deposit First Responder Wellness, Recruitment, Retention & Resiliency grant funds in the amount of $173,400.00 into the Operation Grants Fund Account Code 2016-52000-3G04555ARPAPOL.

SECTION 2. That the appropriation of $173,400.00 is authorized from the unappropriated grant proceeds of the Operation Grants Fund to Account Code 2016-52000-3G04555ARPAPOL; and further authorizing the expenditure for first responder wellness.

SECTION 3. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and award contracts for the purposes specified in Section 2, upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Director of Police and the Director of Law.
