SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
The Ohio Emergency Management Agency has awarded the Toledo Fire and Rescue Department a Statewide Search and Rescue (Water) Capability grant totaling $8,083. The grant supports search & rescue efforts throughout the state by administering & maintaining the Ohio Fire Chiefs Emergency Response Plan/System, one of Ohio's key search and rescue dispatching components.

These funds will continue to improve and sustain TFRD's search and rescue capabilities and are applied to various associated costs, including but not limited to team administration, equipment, expendable material and supply purchases, vehicles, equipment maintenance, and training exercises.

Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:

SECTION 1. That the Mayor is authorized to accept and deposit a grant from the Ohio Emergency Management Agency in an amount not to exceed $8,083 into the Operation Grants Fund, Account Code 2016-53000- 3G00411STDSTD, for costs associated with supporting TFRD statewide search & rescue efforts and the administration & maintenance of the Ohio Fire Chiefs Emergency Response Plan/System.

SECTION 2. That an amount not to exceed $8,083 is appropriated from the unappropriated grant proceeds of the Operation Grants Fund to Account Code 2016-53000-3G00411STDSTD; and further authorizing the expenditure of same for the purposes...
