SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
Hoffman Road, near the CSX crossing, is in need of repair. Currently, refuse trucks and the public traveling to the Hoffman Road landfill cannot cross the two-lane road at the same time due to potholes and unlevel paving near the landfill entrance. The completion of the needed improvements will allow better access to the landfill.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the appropriation of an amount not to exceed $95,000 is authorized from the unappropriated balance of the Street Construction Maintenance and Repair Fund to Account Code 2014-35000-2442001STDSTD and expenditure of same is authorized for improvements to Hoffman Road.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is authorized to enter into an agreement with CSX Railroad for improvements to Hoffman Road.
SECTION 3. That the Mayor is authorized to accept bids and awards contracts for the improvements to Hoffman Road upon terms and conditions acceptable to the Directors of Law, Director of Toledo Department of Transportation, and Director of Public Service.
SECTION 4. That the Finance Director is authorized to draw her warrant or warrants against the Account Code listed in Section 1 upon presentation of properly approved voucher or vouchers in a total amount not to exceed $95,000.
