SUMMARY & BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance authorizes the disappropriation and appropriation of funds within the Department of Human Resources General Fund budget for the summer internship program. Funds for this program were included in the Seasonal & Intern and Professional Service line items of the 2022 operating budget. This Ordinance authorizes the reappropriation of $176,334 to wages and fringes for the 2022 summer internship program.
Summary
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Toledo:
SECTION 1. That the disappropriation of $126,720 is authorized from the General Fund Account Code 1001-17100-537820-1156001STDSTD (Seasonal and Intern Services) and the disappropriation of $49,614 is authorized from the General Fund Account Code 1001-17100-537400-1156001STDSTD (Professional Services) and the appropriation of same is authorized from the General Fund to Account Code 1001-17100-1156001STDSTD (Wages and Fringes) for the 2022 summer internship program.
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage. The reason for the emergency lies in the fact that this Ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and property, and for the further reason that the Ordinance must be immediately effective to timely reappropriate these funds for the 2022 summer internship program.
